AI's Strategic Role in Business Success

Welcome back to the blog guys!

Today I will be delving into the world of AI and exploring why AI is not just a technological tool but a strategic one, shaping the way which we do business. As part of the digital economy module my group and I are providing a workshop on AI to the class so I feel I have learned a lot about this topic! AI is the ability of computer systems to perform complex tasks that traditionally only a human could.

Here are some examples of how businesses use AI to improve their customer service:

1. Recommended Search Engine

Personalised recommendation systems are used to analyse customer data, such as past purchases, to offer suggestions to the customer. LinkedIn is one example of this, it suggests professional connections, job opportunities, and content to users based on their profile information, job history, and network connections.

2. Customer Service

Applications such as chatbots are used by businesses to enhance customer interactions. A Chatbot is a computer program designed to stimulate conversation online with customers. They provide instant responses to any queries, recommendations and offer 24/7 support. Electric Ireland is a business which provide chatbots to their customers through their website. If customers are experiencing issues with their electricity service or equipment, chatbots can offer step-by-step guidance for basic troubleshooting.

3.Voice Recognition

Speech Recognition is the ability of a machine to identify and convert spoken words to text or commands. These systems have become a standard feature for most modern vehicles. The biggest benefit of integrating car speech recognition into vehicles is for hands free operation which allows drivers to make calls, send messages, play music and control navigation using voice commands.
