10 Tips to Boost your Website Ranking!

Welcome back guys to the blog! This post is all about ways to boost your website ranking.

Search Engine Optimisation is the important process of improving your website in order to increase visibility in search engines such as Google. This is important as it helps attract and (hopefully) retain visitors to your website.

My top tips to boosting website ranking are:

1. Use keywords:

Keywords should be identified and repeated in the title tag, URL, and the body text.

2. Increase your websites speed

Visitors are more likely to leave if your website is slow to load so it is crucial to improve its speed. This can be done by minimising plug in and reducing the file size of images.

3. Mobile optimisation

You should ensure websites can be clearly viewed by mobile users. Your ranking will suffer if your visitors can't access the site.

4. Delete zombie pages

These pages don't bring in traffic, they're just.. there. It is better to have 1 strong page rather than many smaller pages so they should be deleted to rank higher.

5. Add visual content

This grabs the visitors attention which encourages them to browse through your content and make a return. This link shows why videos achieve a higher engagement rate: https://www.clicklaboratory.com/videography/increasing-conversion-rate/

6. Carry out on-site audit

This allows you to uncover and eliminate any errors or technical issues of your website.

7. Ensure quality content

It is important to produce high quality, up to date, and engaging content to increase visitor engagement and boost your ranking.

8. Social media integration

By sharing on different social media platforms, you can increase visibility of your website.

9. Security

Secure websites are prioritised and therefore rank higher. By implementing Secure Sockets Layer you can achieve this and ensure a secure connection.

10. Monitor Analytics

Google Analytics should be used to monitor your websites performance, and user behaviour.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and find it helpful for your own website. Feel free to comment below any questions you have :)

Bye for now!

Mollie
